1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or registering for a programme, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you are registering on behalf of another person, you represent that you have the authority to bind that individual to these terms.

3. Description of Programmes

Sumworth provides property finance literacy education programmes for individuals preparing to buy residential property in Malaysia. Our programmes are general educational offerings and do not constitute financial advice, legal advice or any form of regulated advisory service.

Programmes are offered primarily in person at our Kuching office. Online participation may be available in certain circumstances, subject to prior arrangement. Programme availability, scheduling and format may change at our discretion.

Our programmes are designed for participants based in or familiar with the Malaysian property market context.

4. Programme Registration

Registration for a programme is completed when we confirm your place by email or phone following receipt of payment. Registrations are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline a registration where a programme is fully subscribed or where we reasonably consider it inappropriate to admit a participant.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact information at registration. We will use this to send programme-related communications.

5. Participant Responsibilities

As a participant, you agree to:

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Sumworth website and in our programme materials — including cost maps, worksheets, guides, session frameworks and written content — is the property of Sumworth or is used with appropriate permission. These are protected by applicable copyright laws in Malaysia.

Participants are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for their own learning only. You may not copy, distribute, resell or adapt our materials without prior written consent.

7. Payment Terms

Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are payable in full at registration unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer, cash and approved e-wallet payments.

8. Nature of Educational Content

All content provided through Sumworth's programmes is general educational information about property finance concepts in Malaysia. It is not financial advice, investment advice, legal advice or any form of regulated advisory service.

Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice for their own circumstances from licensed financial planners, banks, lawyers or other qualified professionals. Sumworth makes no representations about how general information applies to any individual's specific situation.

9. Disclaimers

Our programmes and website content are provided on an "as is" basis. We do not represent that programme content is error-free or that it will meet any particular outcome for any participant. Property regulations, cost structures and market conditions in Malaysia can change; we endeavour to keep content current but cannot warrant it against subsequent changes.

Attending a Sumworth programme does not constitute a qualification, certification or endorsement of any kind.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Sumworth's total liability to any participant in connection with a programme or use of our website is limited to the fee paid for the relevant programme.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or incidental loss, including loss arising from decisions made on the basis of programme content. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian consumer protection legislation.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Sumworth against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our materials or services.

12. Termination of Participation

We reserve the right to remove a participant from a programme where their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful or in breach of these Terms. In such cases, no refund will be provided. These Terms survive termination to the extent applicable.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from participation in a Sumworth programme shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, with Kuching, Sarawak as the primary venue.

Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage participants to contact us directly to attempt an informal resolution. We will respond to all written complaints within 14 business days.

14. General Provisions

These Terms, together with any programme registration confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Sumworth and the participant. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. A failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision. These Terms may not be assigned by a participant without our prior consent.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last Updated" date when we do. Continued use of our website or participation in a programme after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
