What People Have Said
Nurul Rashidah binti Azmi
Kuching, Sarawak — Basics Workshop
"Before the workshop, I genuinely had no idea what stamp duty actually was or why it differed between properties. The cost map made it so much clearer — I now keep it in my folder and refer to it when I look at listings. The pace was right for someone with zero background in finance."

Wong Tze Herng
Kota Samarahan — Literacy Course
"Five weeks felt manageable — each session built on the previous one rather than repeating. The worksheets pushed me to actually organise what I was learning, not just follow along. I went to my bank meeting afterwards feeling noticeably more prepared. The only thing I would have liked more of was time on the legal cost breakdown."

Siti Mariam Abdullah
Miri, Sarawak — Complete Programme
"I enrolled in the Complete Programme because my husband and I were planning to buy within a year and I wanted to actually understand what we were getting into. The printed guide has been genuinely useful — I annotated it during sessions and still refer to it. The Q&A access afterwards was helpful too when questions came up after our first bank visit."

Josephine Ong
Kuching — Basics Workshop
"What I appreciated most was how clear they were that this is education, not advice. It sounds like a small thing but it actually made me trust the content more — nothing was being pushed at me, and there was no product at the end of it. Just a solid half-day that answered questions I did not even know I had."

Ahmad Hafiz bin Sulaiman
Sibu, Sarawak — Literacy Course
"I came in having already spoken to a bank, which meant I had some context but also some confusion. The course helped me untangle what the loan officer had told me and what I had misunderstood. Solid sessions, small group. The facilitator was knowledgeable and patient with questions."

Leeanne Anak Bujang
Kuching — Complete Programme
"I was not planning to buy for at least two years, so I was not sure the full programme was worth it at this stage. It was. I have a much clearer picture of what to prepare for financially and what to look into. The Q&A sessions over the three months after helped me work through things as they came up in my planning."

How Learning Changed the Experience
The Challenge
No vocabulary to follow the process
A first-time buyer in Kuching had viewed several properties and spoken to a bank but found herself lost in conversations about margin, tenure and legal fees — and did not know which questions to ask her conveyancing lawyer.
What She Did
Attended the Basics Workshop first
She enrolled in the half-day workshop to get a cost map and a working vocabulary. After the session she felt clear enough to return to her bank with more focused questions, then enrolled in the five-week Literacy Course to build on that foundation.
The Outcome
More confident, more prepared
By the end of the course she could follow the legal documents she received, ask her lawyer clarifying questions and organise her paperwork correctly for the bank. She described the experience as "the preparation I did not know to look for."
"The workshop gave me a map. The course gave me the directions." — Nurul R., Kuching
The Challenge
Confused by conflicting information
A couple in Miri had read extensively online before their first bank appointment — and found that articles gave contradictory figures and explanations that differed from what the loan officer described. They were not sure what to believe.
What They Did
Enrolled in the Complete Programme
They attended the Complete Programme together. The curriculum helped them separate general financing concepts from specific product terms, and the Q&A access allowed them to work through questions as they progressed with their actual purchase.
The Outcome
A shared, reliable foundation
By the end of the programme they had a shared vocabulary for discussing the purchase between themselves and a clearer framework for evaluating the information they encountered. They used the printed guide throughout the months that followed.
"The programme gave us a way to read what we were being told — not just accept it." — Siti M., Miri
